“Hi, I run Operation Sauce Drop for the Carolina Sauce Company, and I just wanted to clarify that shipping *IS* still free for all Operation Sauce Drop packages shipping to valid APO and FPO addresses. If you tried to enter a shipping address to send a free gift box to a member of the military as part of Operation Sauce Drop and the online form showed a shipping charge, it’s probably for one of the following reasons:
1. You changed the “shipping method” from the default UPS Ground (we already know to ship via USPS Priority Mail, so please leave the shipping method on the default to make sure the website does not charge for shipping — unfortunately the form gets a bit glitchy if you select “Parcel Post”)
2. The shipping address was not entered correctly (APO or FPO in the “city” field, AE or AP in the “state” field, United States in the “country” field). Please note that Operation Sauce Drop is only for military personnel stationed abroad, with an APO or FPO address.
3. You selected a product *in addition to* or instead of one of the 7 free gift boxes shown on the “military sign up” page
Those are the 3 most common errors that will cause the website to show a shipping charge and ask for a payment menthod. If none of the above applies to you and you *still* had a shipping charge show up, please contact me at the Carolina Sauce Company and I’ll be happy to help you out.”
Thank you all so much for supporting our troops!
