Thank u I won yesterday and turned it into an GC in amazon.. My hubby won too.. Jus t make sure u choose the button correctly ( one is for cable providers ).
To get the virtual gift card, be sure you select the button on the right, you will have to do this twice. To convert into an Amazon card, you just go to Amazon and go to the card purchase link, add the MasterCard info and use it to purchase an Amazon gift card.
But what did you do for the name on card? I cant get mine to work.
Hi Rachel, You can put in your name, but just make sure to use the billing address that is provided on the card they send you. This is the address that is on mine, but I’m not 100% sure if they are all the same.

Dianna, you can use it anywhere that accepts MasterCard. If the eBay vendor accepts MC, just follow the instructions in the virtual card PDF file on how to enter your card info. You have until 8/31/2014 to use it, you need to save or print the PDF within 7 days of receiving it, though.
Someone on another forum found a way to use your PayPal account, however if you use this method, you will end up paying a fee. You will need an alternate email not associated with your PP account. Here are the instructions that was posted:
“Go To your Paypal and click send request for money. Choose another email address that you can check that is not in your Paypal file and request the 6.00 from it. Then go to the email and click on pay now don’t let it login to your account if so logout and choose pay with Debit Card. Then just fill in the card info and you can use your name and info but just use the alternate email address you sent the request payment to. Hope that helps!

I have not tried this, I have been converting mine to Amazon GC like others, as they do not expire. You are basically sending a request for money ($6) using the alternate account. So YMMV.

Are you formatting the birthdate properly? Don’t use the “/” between numbers. Normally a birthdate is formatted MM/DD/YYYY (ex 06/23/2014). Format it MMDDYYYY (ex 06232014). It’s different then way you normally format dates. I got the reply asking for email immediately after sending my birthday.

If you scroll up, you will see several replies explaining this. You have to select the virtual Mastercard. Once you get the email with your $6 card, you go to Amazon’s website and Click the “Gift Cards” link at the top. You need to add your virtual card in your payment selection (scroll towards the bottom and click “Add a card” under Payment Options), then you use that card to purchase an Amazon $6 gift card. HTH!
If you win call them and say you didn’t receive it and then they will send you a new one and now you have 2 cards

It depends on your carrier, mine gives me up to 250 texts per month, so there are not separate charges for each text.

This happened to me too. Its because Amazon registered the card as debit instead of a Mastercard. You have to go to the payment options on your Amazon and unclick the button that says “process as debit.” Then you will need to wait a couple of days to use the card because the return purchase will still be registered as pending.
Just do that and wait a few days. Should be fine.
All my earlier ones were debit cards, and they worked fine. But I did what you suggested, and it’s now showing as a MC instead of debit. But it’s odd that it wouldn’t ask for the security code to process as a MC.
Yes, when you change the card it registers it as a Mastercard credit card and not a debit. Before, when I registered it as debit on Amazon, Amazon would cancel the transaction and send me an email saying this:
“To protect your security and privacy, your issuing bank cannot provide us with information regarding why your payment was declined. Since we cannot process payment at this stage, we have canceled the following gift card.”
After I changed the card to Mastercard, it still wouldn’t work. So I called the Mars Movie Rewards customer service and they told me that the cancel transaction was still pending and that I had to wait a couple of days. I waited and then I was able to finally use the card to buy a Amazon gift card.

Well, I waited until today to use the one card, after switching it to MC from debit. But I’m still getting the “We’re writing to let you know that we are having difficulty processing your payment for the above order.” message. Not only that, I entered a NEW card I won, unselecting the “process as debit” box, and even the NEW card came back with the same message as above. Then I gave up, and tried PayPal, PP keeps saying there’s a problem with the billing address. Guess I will have to call them.
In the PDF email that they send you, it states that the card must be processed as a MasterCard not debit.
I am having the same problem with a card I received a few days ago. All the previous ones worked fine, but for some reason I cannot get this latest one to work. I thought I’d try later, as sometimes such issues resolve them selves, but I’m still getting the same problem. I may give up and do the PayPal payment instead. If I can get it to work with Amazon somehow, I’ll let you know.
I won but every time I try to redeem and follow all instructions on their web page it just kicks me back to the start. Did anybody else have this trouble?
Yes. I went back and tried later and it worked. Sometimes the website has glitches. Another time, I waited for several minutes for each page to load, it was reaaaaaally slooooow. Sometimes, switching browsers works. I find that Google Chrome works when Firefox doesn’t. Also, make sure you disable any pop-up blockers, they sometimes interfere with the site working properly. If you are still having issues, you may be running an add-on or a firewall that’s preventing the site from working properly. Temporarily disabling add-ons and/or your firewall will sometimes work.
I think they ran out of cards. Me and my friends would win now and again now none of us have won in the past 4 days.

Try using a different year for your birthday. If you put 2014, you will be younger than allowed to participate. Try using anything before 1996.
Diana, you have to put / between the numbers so it will read 02/12/2014. But make sure you use a real birthday that reads you are at least 18.

Wait a couple of days to use it. This happened to me. The cancelled transaction might still be pending on the card. I found that out when I called Mars Movie Rewards customer service. Just wait and you should be able to use it.
I have won 4 times but the last 2 cards i received automatically said they had been declined. I know they weren’t used, so whats going on??
