I run targeted facebook ads and I also think it works perfectly. I love that it really narrows down your search parameters.
Here’s a heads up for those interested in this –
* One coupon per Facebook account. Cannot be used with other coupons.
* Your Facebook advertising account needs to be less than 15 days. Only the Advertising Account needs to be less than 15 days old, not your regular Facebook account. This means that you can be an existing Facebook user, but that your Advertising Account only must be less than 15 days old.
* Valid worldwide.
* Need Credit card to activate advertising account.
* You have 90 days from the day you activate your code to spend your €50 (about $70). Any amount that exceeds this coupon will be billed to your credit card. So, if you do not want to be billed, you must stop the ads after you spend the amount of your coupon.
