It seems from all the connections at once from many places at the SAME time, caused a sever overload and crashed the “sign-up” area of the site.
Was able to fill out the registration form but when I clicked on submit I got an error. And then I couldn’t get back in. 😡

They are getting hit super hard with traffic that it’s taking their whole server down, just keep refreshing your page until you get the form to come up.
When I finally got the registration page to fill in my mailing & size info, it didn’t do anything when I clicked on submit! I’m bummed.

I havent received an email confirmation yet.
It let me type in all of my information. then when I pushed send it said error. Hope I still get them.
I couldn’t even get the page to load. It just kept saying “The connection was reset”. I tried for about 10 minutes nonstop, but even after 25 minutes, it was still not working. A little frustrating!

I doubt if at all this is a true offer!!! I tried hitting refresh every 10 secs from 2 pm CST sharp. Never got anything after Registration. At 2:44 pm I see the msg “contest is over”. If this is not a real deal, then for those who were able to register successfully, your personal data is collected and may be misused. Please be aware!!

Yeah, it’s probably a scam. I refreshed every half second with 20 tabs open. I didn’t do this until after their server started crapping out. I’ll probably wake up to find a thousand spam messages from Fiji tomorrow.
I doubt it’s a scam… Dr Oz himself announced the giveaway on his show yesterday afternoon. I highly doubt he’d announce something live on his show, that was a scam. From what I hear, it usually takes a couple weeks to get the email from any Dr Oz giveaways, so if you got the ‘Thanks For Registering’ message, I guess just be patient.
From what I know if you did get the shoes, you will get an email with a code a few weeks later.
Yeah that’s what happened from the last Dr. Oz giveaway I got the confirmation a week or more later, but it’s legit. Got a $50 Target gift card and a Pearl Vision eye exam w/ no problems.

This was A SCAM ..
This wasn’t a scam the problem is that this giveaway went viral and their server couldn’t handle all of the people trying to request the same item at once. This happened during the last Dr. Oz giveaway, but many readers did receive their freebies.
There are quite a few freebies that this type of thing happens with. Many of companies don’t know the power of the web and they don’t prepare for these types of giveaway’s.

Yes, this is so true… same thing happened when they had the Target gift card offer and even though it took over a half hour to get thru.. I eventually did and received it just in time for Christmas. Thank you H4F for posting all these great freebies.. you make my days so much more delightful :hug:

I got mine in early, first 2 times filled out forum and it went blank 3rd time I got threw and got the thanks page, it was about 15 in maybe when I got threw to the thank you page.
were they going to send you the shoes or was it going to be a voucher? so far i got nothing and neither my sister too : (
They are supposed to send vouchers. No one I know has heard anything. Other sites that posted this don’t have any new comments.
Nike.com sent a promotion code, and you have to use for their online website only. The shoes are totally free. no shipping and handling fee and no tax.
I guess it’s safe to say that if we haven’t gotten something yet, we won’t. It’d be nice to at least get “Sorry, you weren’t one of the first 2011” email just so we’d know, but I also realize that could take a long time as so many people went for it. It seemed I was one of the first few to get through, but I guess not. Maybe next time.
I know what you mean Ginger, its possible that we were first but there system gliched, you know how hard it was to get threw. You would think that they would have it to automatically shut down after 2011 requests got submitted.

That is why I’m not doing any more of these “scurry to win!” contests. It wasted my time and considering the DOA server. I’m just annoyed. They should’ve made it more clear on whether someone won or not. I’m just sticking to free samples.
