The five minute thing must have been amended from when this post was made. I won an instant win $25 card yesterday and the email (that took 10 minutes to receive) said I must respond within an hour of the email receipt. I did so, and today I got an email to activate the reward. From the page it directs you, there are several individual gift cards (like to Taco Bell or Starbucks) and chain cards, where a single owning entity has several restaurants underneath their corporate umbrella. After selecting Starbucks, I re-verified my information again and got a page with a barcode, which I could print and take to the location, or add to my Google wallet. I wanted to do neither, but know Starbucks allows gift card redemption and MERGING the balance to a pre-existing gift card. So I redeemed the code underneath the barcode page (inferring the gift card and security numbers correctly) and now have a balance on my Starbucks card greater than the $25 I won. What a nice little boon!
