Well… I’ll keep my fingers cross.. but, they will probably realize the error and not honor it.. but… what the heck. Just know.. they do ask for cc info… I just changed my exp date so they couldn’t charge my card and it still went thru.
I used a Visa Gift Card I purchased with $10 loaded on it. This is perfect for this type of thing.
I also use the gift card to get freebies that you need to sign up for trials and cancel trial after you get the freebie. This way they can never charge my credit card the full amount.
I ordered one also, I dont think they should have the right to cancel orders, this is their mistake, but I will keep my fingers crossed also… :fingersx:  😀
What a crazy random deal! Thanks! We’ll see what happens 🙂

What a great idea Mike… I think I will invest in one myself. Yes, it stinks that they don’t honor things when they make mistakes… but, I’ve had that happen to me more often than not… well, maybe with all of us having our fingers crossed. :fingersx: .. we’ll have lots of luck  Thanks again  … like you said… its worth the try!!!

Office Max’s honesty and integrity are at stake with this offer, should they cancel it, this advertising of their’s might backfire on them. If they don’t cancel it, it could possibly turn out to be the most profitable advertising campaign they could have.

This happens with airline tickets purchased online (price mistakes) and the airlines will still honor the deal. Why should office max be any different?
otherwise it might be called a bait and switch

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy free stuff as much as the next person but I honestly dont see how office max would lost integrity (or that they arent honest) if they dont send these chairs.
In order to have a bait and switch one must first bait – office max didnt promote these chairs or advertise them, someone just happened to see that chair and that it mistakenly priced and passed the info on.
Had Office Max promoted these chairs or had them in any sort of sales paper saying that they would be free just to get people inside the store (or to buy something from the site) and then suddenly didnt have the chair or whatever, that would be a bait and switch and would also be very shady.
If you look at office max, you can see that its clearly a pricing issue – all the other chairs that are that brand run $299-$329 so I think anyone would see that this was an obvious mistake. The other freebie site I was on had about 100 comments about this, with nearly all the people ‘ordering’ 4-8 chairs each.
I would, however, assume that they would have fixed the issue by now. Its quite possible they dont work on the weekends, so I would assume they will cancel everything in the AM. And seriously, who would pay $300 for a chair like that?!

These chairs retail for $369 (I googled the name of the chair) so I really doubt they will ‘honor’ the orders.
they have stopped this, so we will have to see if they ship out the ones that got ordered??? :fingersx:

I see this offer has been discontinued… no surprise for a high ticket item. It’s great to find “deals” like this before everyone else does b/c a truckload of orders is what usually tips the retailer off. I search various sites from time to time under lowest price. My last great find was a while ago on Payless for Build-A-Bear slippers that retailed for $20 mistakingly marked down on the site to $0.00. So I ordered 20 in 4 different orders(trying not to be greedy or too obvious) and they were all shipped… for free!
just logged in to office max and checked the status of my order and website said can not verify orders in Alaska and virgin islands. A bit nervous on this one. Hope it was not a scam, cause they needed my credit card information. A lesson learned, will use prepaid from now on, just in case. Will call the bank tomorrow to check my balance.

I called to see when my free chair was coming and they said that all orders placed for this $300 chair were cancelled. Oh well…. It was worth a try!

Hi Judy,
Most likely will get canceled, but worth the try.

I agree with you Deb. Sometimes these types of orders do go through :fingersx: this would be a fantastic freebie.
